About Me
A developer who designs, and a designer who ships. I've spent five years turning ambitious ideas into products that feel considered, warm and effortless.
The Story
Craft, code &
a love of the details
I'm Ahmet Emin Kaya, a full-stack developer and designer based between Istanbul and Stockholm. My work sits where engineering discipline meets editorial sensibility — I care as much about a clean component API as I do about the rhythm of a headline.
Over the past five years I've led builds for fashion houses, fintech startups and cultural institutions. I tend to go deep: understanding the business, prototyping fast, and sweating the last 10% that makes something feel finished.
When I'm not shipping, I'm writing about design systems, mentoring junior developers, or chasing good light with a film camera.
How I Work
Principles I build by
Design is how it works
Aesthetics and engineering aren't separate stages — they inform each other from the first sketch.
Sweat the last 10%
The difference between good and memorable lives in the details most people skip.
Ship, then refine
Real feedback beats endless polish. I build to learn and iterate quickly.
Leave it better
Clean code, clear handoff, documented systems — the team after me should thank me.
